  1. Ooh, Yamaha! They make fantastic audio products, I bet that sounds brilliant when watching movies.
  2. Today I've removed the discussion forums for the Movies and TV Shows, instead you can now comment directly on the movie page and you can also leave a review as well. This consolidates the experience by keeping everything on the same page and adding the added dimension of allowing reviews. Reviews differ from comments in that you can give a rating of up to five stars and this alone may help other decide if this movie or TV Show is worth considering. It's now down to you to make these new additions work by leaving a comment and/or a review whichever takes your pleasure. Enjoy!
  3. I'm no Johnny Depp fan, but this is a pretty good movie with a nice twist in the story that was unexpected and made it all the more interesting for me. I would rate it 4/5.
  4. Two leading computer scientists work toward their goal of Technological Singularity, as a radical anti-technology organization fights to prevent them from creating a world where computers can transcend the abilities of the human brain.
  5. I'm going to watch this from the beginning as I've previously dropped in and out of different seasons and episodes to see what it was like; I quite enjoyed it so from the start.
  6. This looks like my kind of movie, I checked on Amazon and it's priced way crazy high, so I'll wait awhile until the price drops.
  7. I really enjoyed this movie - good story and great CGI made the whole experience worthwhile. I am informed that a sequel is in the making, so that will be interesting to see where they take this to next level.

    Welcome Back

I'd like to say a warm welcome to @Phenom for joining us and sharing - welcome aboard.
  9. I couldn't have put this better @Phenom I thoroughly enjoyed this version, my only complaint was the end credits arrived too soon, I was enjoying it that much.
  10. Decades after Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah Connor teams up with an unexpected ally and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet.
  11. Very funny show with the majority of the cast of Hi-De-Hi and two characters from It Ain't Half Hot Mum - great comedy show with loads of laughs and reminiscent of Upstairs Downstairs - keep an eye on Teddy, he is just off the map.

    The Entity

This is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen - talk about the hairs standing up on the back of your neck, mine were standing up all over. This is assumed to be based on a true story and if it is indeed true, then my heart goes out to the victim. The atmospherics alone were spine tingling, but the actual assaults were horrifying. If there is ever one movie you need to see if you're a horror fan, this is it. It makes the exorcist look like the Simpsons lol.
  13. If you can ever get the chance to watch this crazy, but extremely funny, movie, watch it. It's not available on DVD (in the UK) but it is available on Amazon Prime Video to stream. It's whacky, it's mad, it's daft, but it is 100% funny bone crunching. I loved it the first time I saw it and still love it now - slapstick madness that is pure genius..

    Ip Man

Ip Man 1 to 4 all brilliant and the amazing choreographed fight scenes are breath-taking; Donny Yen is just awesome and if you don't mind the subtitles and you enjoy a good story (a true one) with plenty of action then you won't be disappointed in these movies.

    Clarence

This is a much-underrated show, so funny and Clarence is a perfect character for the late Ronnie Barker to play. You need to watch all the episodes to see how the whole story unfolds and then you will grasp how subtle, but clever, the humour is. Just brilliant, shame there wasn't a second series.
  16. This is currently my favourite movie of the moment. I can't think of anything bad to say about it, great story, great settings, fantastic effects, plenty of action and some choice moments of humour. Can't wait for the sequel to see how it compares and how the story unfolds.

    Priest

Possibly the best vampire movie to emerge - stylish, fast paced, great effects and good acting. Packed with action that seldom lets up from the start, this is one hell of rollercoaster ride. Shame that the second instalment has stalled, it could possibly have even topped this.
  18. First choose a category from either the movies listing or Tv Show listing. When you are in the category of your choice you will see, in the top right corner, a submit entry button (shown below): Click this button and then start typing the title of you chosen movie or TV Show (see below): As you begin to type you will see a list of possible matches: When you see your matched options and the movie or TV Show is showing, click the add button as indicated by the arrows above. Note: If you do not see an 'add' button next to your choice it means this title ha
  19. @Lee Just seen this, it should be fixed now - let me know.

    Dave's Gear

I have to admit to being a technophile - I just love new technology and new innovations to bring us a more immersive experience when watching TV at home. I'd love to afford all the new tech that comes out each year, but of course that would not be sensible let alone economical. To-date my gear consists of: Panasonic 55" Oled TV - big enough for my sitting room Yamaha sound board that sits under my TV nicely and delivers crisp clear sound with a bit of oomph in the bass department. Roku streaming stick that sits at the back of the TV in one of the HDMI sockets BT Ultra
  21. Vlad Tepes is a great hero, but when he learns the Sultan is preparing for battle and needs to form an army of 1,000 boys, he vows to find a way to protect his family. Vlad turns to dark forces in order to get the power to destroy his enemies and agrees to go from hero to monster as he's turned into the mythological vampire, Dracula.

    Priest

In an alternate world, humanity and vampires have warred for centuries. After the last Vampire War, the veteran Warrior Priest lives in obscurity with other humans inside one of the Church's walled cities. When the Priest's niece is kidnapped by vampires, the Priest breaks his vows to hunt them down. He is accompanied by the niece's boyfriend, who is a wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess.
  23. Barbara Hershey stars as Carla Moran, a hard-working single mother until the night she is raped in her bedroom by someone - or something - that she cannot see. Despite skeptical psychiatrists, she is repeatedly attacked in her car, in the bath, and in front of her children. Could this be a case of hysteria, a manifestation of childhood sexual trauma, or something even more horrific?
