This Island Earth ( 1955 )

Classic 50's science fiction at its daftest and best.  How can anyone not love these old movies?  They were hammy, funny, often tense, and exciting.  With ropey effects by today's standards with sets that wobbled and often had pieces dropping off them, but this was gripping stuff back in the day.  I loved this movie and no doubt will fill a rainy afternoon watching it again.
