In 1879, the British suffer a great loss at the Battle of Isandlwana due to incompetent leadership.
The forerunner to Zulu this movie tells the tale of what happened to the regiment before Rourke's Drift and how the Zulus came to have rifles. Damn fine movie, almost up to the standard of Zulu but not quite there by comparison. Well worth a watch, even if just to discover the events prior to those that took place in the movie Zulu, and well worth watching.
