The King's Speech tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stutter and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country into war.

What a fantastic tribute to King George VI and what a stellar cast to reenact this poignant moment in British History.  A beautifully crafted movie the endures, infuses pride in a nation and tells the story of an amazing man who gave hope to every member of a nation.  I loved this movie, the performances from the cast and the sets of the period, all lovingly put together to tell a great story about a great King. Just go watch it and enjoy.
