Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-D find themselves at odds with the renegade scientist Soran who is destroying entire star systems. Only one man can help Picard stop Soran's scheme...and he's been dead for seventy-eight years.
Not a bad movie for a first outing for The Next Generation crew, mixed with the original crew (as least some of them) but it seemed a little lacklustre in parts. I can't say it's a bad movie, but more of an OK movie. A bit of a strange mix and having Kirk die at the end was unnecessary and rather sad - you can't just kill off an icon like Kirk in such a pathetic manner, he deserved to go out all guns blazing with phasers and photon torpedoes. Still, it's Star Trek and I love Star Trek.
