55 Days at Peking

Diplomats, soldiers and other representatives of a dozen nations fend off the siege of the International Compound in Peking during the 1900 Boxer Rebellion. The disparate interests unite for survival despite competing factions, overwhelming odds, delayed relief and tacit support of the Boxers by the Empress of China and her generals.

What a wonderful classic movie this is. Perfectly cast, great action, well told story and just brilliant.  This is the kind of movie that is easily watched over and still remains breathtaking in many different ways. Heston, Gardner, and Niven lead the way with a strong back cast. Just watch and understand that this is how movies should be made.
